Wisconsin’s Labor Market Getting Even Tighter

Wisconsin’s record-low unemployment rate and demographic changes are making an already tight labor market even tighter.  Part of what’s fueling the change is the large number of older workers retiring or nearing retirement.   Employers in recent years had difficulty filling many jobs because there weren’t enough workers with the skills to fill those positions. But now, according to the state’s council of economic advisors, “we’re actually seeing a quantity challenge — more job openings than job seekers.” Click here to read the full article.
